January 26 2021 By Caroline Anderson URUGUAY IMB The Uruguayan Baptist Convention donated 1500 to the 2020 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering LMCO for International Missions. Lottie was born in Virginia on December 12 1840. On March 31 2021 the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering surpassed 5 billion total gifts since collection to send missionaries to China began in 1888.
One hundred percent of the offering goes to the missionaries none to administration. In 1918 the international missions offering was named the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to honor the service of Lottie Moon 1840-1912 a single missionary who dedicated her life to serving in China. This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100 of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world.
